The expert panel will provide participants an overview of syndromic surveillance and alerting systems used in Michigan and Ontario. An overview of the syndromic surveillance in Michigan, an introduction of the Health Alert Network, (HAN), its objectives and key uses, and an overview of Canada’s new syndromic surveillance system are discussed.
